immixGroup Raises More Than $100,000 for Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center
Government technology community and local businesses come out in force to support colon cancer research
MCLEAN, VA, October 23, 2006—immixGroup, Inc., today announced that it raised more than $100,000 for the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center from its second annual immixGroup Board of Advisors Charity Golf Tournament held at Lansdowne Resort on October 16. With strong support from members of the government technology community and local businesses, the proceeds from this year's sold out event represent an increase of more than 66% of the amount raised for Johns Hopkins at the inaugural event last year.
"From the inception of our charity event, the mission was to bring together members of our technology community supporting the government sector, government executives, friends and supporters to raise capital and increase awareness for a very worthy cause," said Jeff Copeland president and CEO of immixGroup, Inc. "It is with great appreciation that we thank the tournament's sponsors, players, volunteers and members of the executive planning committee for their overwhelming generosity and support to make this event a success."
"The proceeds from today's tournament will be used to support research and patient education at the Johns Hopkins colon Cancer Center, a multidisciplinary program providing comprehensive diagnostic testing and multidisciplinary consultation services for patients diagnosed with cancer of the large bowel and those at high risk for developing cancer of the colon and rectum," said Michael A. Choti, MD. "Your generosity helps meet the financial needs of our center so we can focus our attention on research and patient education."

More than two dozen local businesses and individuals contributed gift certificates, vacation homes and other items which were auctioned or raffled off during a reception following the tournament to raise additional funds for the cause.
immixGroup also announced the date for the 2007 Board of Advisors Johns Hopkins Colon Cancer Center Charity Golf Tournament, which is October 15, 2007.
