MCLEAN, VA, July 28, 2010—immixGroup, Inc., a leading provider of technology products and services to the public sector, announced today it has been awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This award deepens its business relationship with the USPTO, providing USPTO customers easier access to the IT products they need through the contract vehicles they prefer.
The USPTO was looking for “a one-stop shopping vehicle, which offers a wide array of computer hardware and software products” and for vendors that are “able to demonstrate that they can offer the USPTO a vast array of IT products.” immixGroup leveraged its industry relationships to develop a program to meet and exceed the USPTO’s goals, cost effectively providing state-of-the-art IT products from more than 2,000 Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
"immixGroup is continually looking for new and better ways to help our government customers succeed,” said Art Richer, president of immixGroup. “And this new contract allows our manufacturers and partners to develop and grow their business within the USPTO while providing the USPTO access to the broad range of IT products its end users require."
The ID/IQ contract includes one base year and four one-year option periods. The USPTO’s IT product requirements for FY 2009 were approximately $33 million.
This is the latest contract to join immixGroup’s growing list of preferred IT products and services vehicles, part of its strategy to improve its contract vehicle arsenal to better serve its manufacturer clients and government customers. immixGroup currently offers public sector customers hardware and software products and IT services through dozens of contract vehicles of all kinds, including GSA Schedules, government-wide acquisition contracts (GWACs), agency and/or product-specific Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs), and major state and local contracts.
immixGroup helps technology companies do business with the government. The company’s four divisions deliver a unique combination of services for software and hardware manufacturers, their channel partners, and government agencies at the federal, state, and local levels. Since 1997, immixGroup has helped hundreds of large and emerging companies grow and manage their public sector business while providing its government customers with reliable access to leading commercial technologies through the contract vehicles and partners they prefer.
