immixGroup Awarded Government-Wide Computer Security Contract to Expand Access to Leading Data Security Solutions from Check Point Software

U.S. federal, state and local government agencies can now protect sensitive data with Pointsec data encryption solutions more cost effectively and easily

MCLEAN, VA, July 17, 2007 - immixGroup, Inc., a leader in technology representation, channel programs and government contract management today announced the award of a U.S. government DoD Enterprise Software Initiative (ESI) and GSA SmartBUY Data At Rest (DAR) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The BPA enables federal, state and local agencies to protect desktops, laptops, smartphones and removable media with solutions from Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet.

“Protecting data at the endpoint where it is most vulnerable is a concern for the government,” said Art Richer, President of immixGroup. “Our recently awarded BPA and agreement with Check Point permits us to offer thousands of government entities the latest in encryption technology cost effectively.”

“U.S. government departments and agencies have long depended upon Pointsec products to secure vital, sensitive data,” said Marty Leamy, vice president of Americas field operations at Check Point. “With our new status and together with immixGroup, we look forward to expanding our presence in the government market segment.”

Check Point data security products approved were Pointsec® PC, Pointsec Media Encryption, and Pointsec Mobile. The integrated solution provides full-disk encryption and file/folder encryption system for all mobile devices including laptops, hand-held devices, and removable media. By using Pointsec, U.S. government agencies can gain control over critical information to prevent theft, data breaches or loss. These products ensure personal and sensitive data residing outside secure network environments on easily lost or stolen portable devices remains protected with the highest levels of data security available.

The government-wide computer security contract award to immixGroup and Check Point is the result of the GSA-DoD partnership to carry out OMB and DoD policy directives (OMB-M-06-16; DoD Policy Memorandum, July 3, 2007). These directives instruct agencies to adopt measures and select data-at-rest (DAR) encryption products to protect personally identifiable information stored on laptop computers, desktop computers, tablet PCs, smart phones, personal digital assistants, and removable storage devices.
