Strategic Sourcing Challenges in the Public Sector

Large private sector enterprises as diverse as IBM, Toyota, WalMart and Dell actively embrace the concepts of supply chain management to outsource all non-essential activities, transforming them from fixed to variable costs. A core concept in supply chain management is Strategic Sourcing.
