As Steve Charles notes in his article in the March 2002 Edition of Market Update, anecdotal evidence suggests that pre-award audits are on the rise. Some contract holders may breathe a sigh of relief when GSA notifies them that they may be subject to a pre-award rather than a post-award audit. There are two reasons why their relief should be short-lived.
