     Beth Sanner

    Beth Sanner, Former Presidential Intelligence Briefer, Former Deputy Director of National Intelligence

     

    During her career spanning more than three decades as a leader in the Intelligence Community working in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, CIA, U.S. Department of State, and White House, Beth Sanner was a trusted adviser to multiple U.S. presidents, congressional and cabinet officials, and foreign partners on our nation’s most important intelligence and national security matters. As the senior-most analyst for the entire Intelligence Community (IC), she uncovered threats to our country, and, as the Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s director of the President’s Daily Brief and Deputy Director of National Intelligence for Mission Integration, briefed our presidents on their potential impact.

    Sanner is currently the principal at Insight Consulting, where she adapts her leadership and innovation expertise to provide organizations with tangible strategies for accomplishing their objectives. In addition to Insight Consulting, Sanner is a senior adviser at International Capital Strategies, a senior fellow at Harvard’s Belfer Center, a visiting professor of practice at the University of Maryland’s Applied Research Lab for Intelligence and Security, and a contributing expert to The Cipher Brief. She also appears as a national security contributor on CNN, providing analysis on today’s top intelligence and geopolitical matters.

    Tamara Ells has led successful growth initiatives throughout her 25-year career. Before joining immixGroup,  served in various leadership positions within Arrow Electronics, formulating revenue generation strategies for legacy and alternative consumption models through channel partners. She has a proven track record of developing strategic alliances and partnerships with key IT manufacturers. Ells has received several awards, including CRN Channel Chief 2020; 2020 Women Worth Watching in Leadership, Diversity Journal Award; and CRN Power 100 Women of the Channel 2019. She graduated from Northwestern University, where she earned a B.A. in economics.

With more than 20 years of supporting organizations in the public sector, he’s provided mission-driven solutions and outcomes for customer success. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and a master’s degree in engineering from George Washington University.

    Sydney Herren, Director of Sales, Partners and Alliances, immixGroup

     

    Sydney Herren leads immixGroup in the growth of its extensive partner alliance network. She brings more than 20 years of public sector-focused experience in the IT industry. Before joining immixGroup, Ms. Herren led ATP Gov’s rebrand and helped to build its channel organization. She managed all partnerships and the partner team for Red River and developed the first GSA Schedule for ComputerLand and Vanstar. Ms. Herren worked in field sales with SkillSoft and at Arrow, supporting public sector sales for Sun and Oracle. She and her husband, Wade, enjoy spending time at Lake Martin, Alabama and participate in vintage racing.

    A noted speaker, author and marketing strategist for Arrow Electronics in the public sector technology marketplace,  Jimmy Baker is a graduate of the University of Maryland.

    He is very active in his local community with a focus on restorative justice and enjoys his role as co-chair of the Promote Career Discovery Working Group, which provides cybersecurity pathways for youth as part of the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).


      Gina Brown

    Gina Brown joined immixGroup in 2018 with over 20 years of contracts and procurement experience in the public sector. She oversees federal compliance and program management, and is well-versed in contracting, teaming partnerships and government program initiatives.

    Before joining immixGroup, Brown worked as a contract consultant and collaborated with multiple companies that offered various business capabilities, represented diverse social-economic statuses and sought out contracts that would enhance their businesses.  

    Brown earned a bachelor’s degree from Mary Baldwin University and is a member of the National Contract Management Association and the Coalition for Government Procurement.

Mark has over 40 years of experience in the IT industry and spent the last 21 years focusing on data management and technical sales initiatives. Mark utilizes his strong management/leadership skills and technical competencies to set objectives and develop strategies to ensure customer success. Mark works with a broad internal team at NetApp and is a trusted advisor to NetApp Partners and Alliance teams in developing On-Prem, Hybrid and Cloud technology solutions.

     


    Garrison Buss

    Garrison Buss, Co-Founder, Chief Strategy Officer, QuSecure

    As co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of QuSecure, Garrison's role is both technical and strategic. He has led the creation of a “dual-use” government-commercial strategy at QuSecure leading to the successful capture of millions of dollars over multiple government contracts, including a rare SBIR phase III contract vehicle which is awarded less than twenty times per year. In addition, he also serves as the company’s head of deployment, leading solution architecture for QuSecure. Garrison’s career has previously included executive positions as General Partner at Superposition Venture Capital and COO with Carbono. In addition to his professional experience, Garrison is a PhD graduate from Stanford University.

    Grace has 8 years of experience at Arrow in various roles including serving as the lead Mechanical Engineer on the SAM Car (Semi Autonomous Mobility) project.  She has Master’s in Design Theory and Manufacturing from Clemson University.

     

     

    Bonnie Evangelista

    Bonnie Evangelista is a Senior Procurement Analyst for the Chief Digital and AI Office (CDAO), leading efforts to design and build a rapid acquisition environment to accelerate the pace of artificial intelligence/machine learning, digital, and data analytics delivery to the Department of Defense. In her previous role, she served as the Deputy Product Lead for Applied Cyber Technologies, leading efforts to provide the infrastructure and environments necessary for defensive cyber innovation and integration. She has an MBA from Liberty University and B.As in Political Science and Spanish from Virginia Tech.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer on active duty and reserves for over 20 years retiring as a Commander. He was previously with General Electric. He received his undergraduate degree from Norwich University, the Military College of Vermont.  He earned a certificate in National Security Decision Making from the U.S. Naval War College.     Stacy High-Brinkley, Senior Manager, Industry Specialty Services Group, BDO

     

    Stacy High-Brinkley has more than 30 years' experience as an Information Security professional. Her background includes building and securing networks, with expertise in establishing and implementing streamlined cyber security programs. She holds numerous Cyber Certifications and is also a certified CMMC Provisional Assessor as well as an Assessor for DoD. Her expertise of the cyber domain includes technical aspects such as ensuring proper implementation of security controls and hardening networks as well as non-technical and policy implementation. Stacy has worked in wide ranging positions throughout her career, most recently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for a defense contracting company before joining BDO. Her passion is working with others, enabling a positive environment and learning new ways to create secure environments in our hyper-connected world.

     

     George Hyde

    George Hyde is the Sales Manager for the Enterprise Solutions Group sector at immixGroup. He currently oversees a supplier management team spanning many of immixGroup’s traditional enterprise technology vendors. George joined the company in 2019 as a sales-operations representative and has progressed through direct supplier management of multiple of immixGroup’s largest suppliers, including NetApp and Citrix. He has experience with distribution and resale motions and a wide variety of technology solutions from traditional storage and legacy software to disruptive solutions for ransomware mitigation and network AI.     A highly respected innovator, global leader and Federal Senior Executive, Pamela Isom is the CEO of IsAdvice & Consulting, an organization that leads safe AI innovations and ethical governance, empowering equity, opportunity and sustainability through capacity building, cybersecurity risk management and modern Digital transformation.   

    While serving as Executive Director of the AI & Technology Office and Deputy CIO at the US Department of Energy, Pamela led governance of the AI portfolio, contributed to the White House Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights and pioneered the inaugural AI Advancement Council, AI Risk Management Playbook and AI Ethics.

    Karen Jackson currently serves as the CEO of Apogee Strategic Partners, LLC.     Mark is Vice President of the IBM team committed to the mission success of our US Federal customers using modern IT.  Before IBM, he held several leadership positions in services and technology strategy and sales, where he helped customers connect innovative technologies to their business and agency needs. Mark was also an officer for 21 years in the United States Navy, where he was a Test Pilot and the Commanding Officer of an FA-18 Hornet Fighter Squadron.     Gary Lackey

    Gary Lackey, Director of Cybersecurity, Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District

     

    Gary Lackey is the Director of Cybersecurity at Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District in Baytown, TX. His role at the district includes assisting in continuous improvement of cybersecurity initiatives, identifying and responding to incidents, staying informed of cyber threats and training/informing district personnel. He works with district personnel on cybersecurity assessments, implementing security tools and overseeing the access controls and security camera teams. Gary Lackey assisted Goose Creek CISD in becoming the 5th district in Texas to achieve the prestigious TLE Seal for Data Privacy. His certifications include a Master of Science in Cybersecurity, CISSP, CETL, GXPN, CCRE, GWAPT, GCFE, GSLC, GPEN, GSEC, and RTSBA.

    Chris Lapage, Chief Services Officer, Worldwide, Grants Office

     

    Chris LaPage is Chief Services Officer, Worldwide at Grants Office, LLC. As CSO, Chris oversees business development as well as all client relationships and deliverables across U.S. and global operations. In that role over the last two years, Grants Office has facilitated nearly $3 billion in grant awards for its clients around the world.

    Chris completed his Bachelor's and Master's in Health Administration at Cornell University. He previously worked as a legislative aide for the New York State Assembly Committee on Health. He has also served in a management capacity for a variety of organizations, including federally qualified health centers and academic medical centers.


    Colleen Malloy

    Colleen Malloy, Strategic Portfolio Executive, Workforce Development, Coursera

     

    Colleen has been with Coursera since March of 2021 and is responsible for partnerships with state, local and non profit agencies in the US to provide scalable solutions for online reskilling and upskilling opportunities for workforce development and employees.

    Colleen joined Coursera with over 20 years of experience in EdTech and e-learning experience. She started her career during the early days of online learning, joined WebCT and worked closely with many international and domestic institutions. Colleen also worked with Meteor Learning, where she helped launch competency based and industry aligned online master’s degrees. During Colleen’s time with the Portfolium/ Instructure, she was responsible for academic partnerships with colleges and universities, as well as K12 districts who were focused on supporting their student’s career readiness with e-portfolios to showcase evidence of their skills and competencies.

     

     

     Monica Montgomery

    Monica Montgomery, Deputy Chief Information Security Officer for Management and Strategy, Deputy Director, Cybersecurity Office, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency

     

    Monica Montgomery is the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer for Management and Strategy, and the Deputy Director of the Cybersecurity Office at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, based in Springfield, Virginia.

    Named to the position in March 2022, Ms. Montgomery is responsible for the cybersecurity strategy, standards, policy and procedures that safeguards NGA’s information systems against cyberthreats. Additionally, she is responsible for the development of cybersecurity performance measures, a comprehensive investment plan, education and outreach, and cybersecurity workforce management.

    Prior to her current position, Ms. Montgomery served at NGA as its Chief of Staff for the Office of the Chief Information Officer, and the Director of Corporate Services. In these roles, she led the directorate in managing and executing administrative, communication and business operations, and led the CIO-T workforce through the COVID-19 response. 

     

     Keith Nelson

    Keith Nelson, Senior Strategist for Global Public Sector, OpenText

    Keith Nelson has more than 20 years of experience in public sector consulting, high-tech marketing and as a government appointee. His roles in government include serving as Assistant Secretary for Administration (a position requiring Senate confirmation), Acting Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology, Acting Chief Financial Officer, and Deputy Chief Information Officer at the U.S. Departments of Transportation, Labor and Housing and Urban Development. 

    At OpenText, Keith oversees the global public sector industry, pairing the unique needs of government and educational organizations against OpenText’s portfolio of software solutions. With the industry focused on mission delivery, not profits, Keith taps into public sector stories where OpenText has provided better citizen services, leveraged AI and automation to provide civil servants with more time for strategic work and shored up cyber defenses.

     Steve Pitcher

    Steve Pitcher Senior Cyber Survivability Analyst, Zero Trust Threshold Performance, Joint Staff-J6, Department of Defense

    Steve Pitcher is the Senior Cyber Survivability Analyst for the Joint Staff J6. During Steve’s 20 years in the Air Force, and 18 years as a government civilian with the Missile Defense Agency and Joint Staff, he has held several cybersecurity, command and control, modeling and simulation, information sharing, Joint/Coalition operations and cyber survivability positions.  As part of the Joint Staff, he focused on developing cybersecurity approaches to enable coalition interoperability, with authoritative data services and web-based presentation applications to rapidly deploy a hybrid mission planning and execution network. More recently, he has worked to define how properly articulated cyber survivability threshold performance requirements can reduce resource and mission risk for the acquisition of warfighter systems, by ensuring cybersecurity and cyber resilience requirements are balanced with the system’s other functional requirements during operational risk trade-space decisions.

     

    Phil Redman

    Phil Redman, Sustainability Software Ecosystem Lead, Americas, IBM

     

    Phil Redman serves as the Sustainability Software Ecosystem Lead, Americas for IBM. In his role, Redman is responsible for recruiting, enabling, and collaborating with IBM sustainability partners on ESG Reporting, Energy Management and Carbon Accounting software sales. Redman brings over 15 years of global enterprise experience working on enterprise software, Green IT and sustainability programs with large enterprises. He has led teams on technology product development, partner strategy and technology at OneTrust, Accenture and Citrix, and was a Vice President and Distinguished Analyst at Gartner.

     


    Susan Rose

    Susan Rose, Senior Director of Insights and Content, GovExec

     

    Susan Rose has more than 25 years of experience developing messaging and writing compelling communications for large corporations, small-to-mid-market companies and non-profits. Her specialty is explaining complex, technical issues to audiences with no subject matter expertise. She is also skilled in understanding what the target audience wants and how to craft content to meet that need. Whether it is message development or creating a white paper, Susan will help her clients get results. Some of her technology clients include BlueCoat, Dell, Microsoft and SolarWinds.

    Susan is currently the content strategist for Market Connections. Previously, she was a management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton and the Director of Proposal Development for HMS Host.

    Susan earned a B.S. in Journalism from Kansas University and an M.S. in Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University.

    Jacque Rowden is the Assistant Director of IT Operations in the Innovation and Performance Department of the City of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jacque has managed global IT teams for law firms, private companies and local governments, based in New York City and Southwestern Pennsylvania.     Troy Schneider, President,  GovExec360

    Troy Schneider has been Editor-in-Chief of both FCW and GCN, as well as General Manager for Government Technology Brands at GovExec.

    He previously served as New America Foundation’s Director of Media & Technology, and Managing Director for Electronic Publishing at the Atlantic Media Company, where he oversaw the online operations of The Atlantic Monthly, National Journal, The Hotline and The Almanac of American Politics, among other publications. The founding editor of NationalJournal.com, Mr. Schneider also helped launch the political site PoliticsNow.com in the mid-1990s, and worked on the earliest online efforts of the Los Angeles Times and Newsday. He began his career in print journalism, and has written for a wide range of publications, including The New York Times, WashingtonPost.com, Slate, Politico, Governing, and many of the other titles listed above.

    Mr. Schneider is a graduate of Indiana University, where his emphases were journalism, business and religious studies.

     

    Calvert Smith

     Calvert Smith, Cloud Adoption Lead, Centers of Excellence, GSA

    Calvert Smith has over 25 years of experience in tech innovation, cloud computing, cyber security, application development, business intelligence, project management, and vendor/contract management. At the Center of Excellence, Smith assists in IT modernization cloud adoption efforts with agencies across the federal government. His projects include analyzing current systems and applications to provide recommendations for planning cloud migration; and implementing cloud governance models incorporating best practices from both government and commercial areas that allow strategic oversight of cloud programs. Smith holds the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Certified Cloud Security Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Project Management Professional, and Agile Certified Practitioner certifications. Smith also has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland and is a Federal Acquisition Certification Contracting Officer's Representative III.

    A respected thought leader in the Federal IT community, Tom Suder is the CEO of the Advanced Technology Academic Research Center (ATARC), an organization that provides a collaborative forum for Federal government, academia and industry to resolve emerging technology challenges. ATARC also introduces innovative technology from academic research labs to the Federal government and private industry.

    Tom is the Founder and President of Mobilegov, a mobile integration company, and he serves on several technology advisory boards, including the Professional Science Master’s Advisory Board, which is a part of the Telecommunications Management graduate program at the University of Maryland University College (UMUC).

    Pierre Swartvagher has over 30 years’ experience, designing and building SaaS platforms for enterprise organizations. By leveraging technology to deliver solutions for customers, he has created on-demand software and business tools that have helped transform several industries, including finance, retail, broadcast, and healthcare. Swartvagher is responsible for managing Arrow’s digital go-to-market, including ArrowSphere cloud integrations, automation, and integrations with hyperscaler marketplaces.

     Stuart Wagner, Chief Digital Transformation Officer, Department of the Air Force 

     

    Stuart Wagner is the Chief Digital Transformation Officer for the Department of the Air Force, comprised of the U.S Air Force and U.S. Space Force. On behalf of the Chief Information Officer, Mr. Wagner promotes innovation and digital transformation to enable warfighters globally, helps build the digital workforce and implements artificial intelligence and autonomous capabilities. His areas of interest include telemetry instrumentation, collection, unification and analysis, natural language processing and improving partnerships between the venture community and the government.
