Leveraging the Value of Open Source

As part of the second Open Government National Action Plan in 2016, the Office of Management and Budget issued a draft policy for “improving access to custom software code.” It includes potential benefits for using open source software and cites examples where agencies are publishing their own custom software in the public domain.
