McLean, VA, Thursday, November 10, 2011–- immixGroup, Inc. was recently selected to receive the 2011 McAfee Value Added Distributor of the Americas award. The award was presented to immixGroup at the McAfee FOCUS 11 security conference, held in Las Vegas from October 18 to 20.

McAfee presents its distribution awards to distributors who build strong ecosystems and are dedicated to their customers and partners through efficient, effective, and proactive management of partner needs.

immixGroup helps technology companies do business with the government. It provides value-added distribution services to McAfee and its channel of public sector resellers and solution providers through the immixGroup Government Aggregation Program, or iGAP. Under the iGAP program, immixGroup works with McAfee to make the security company’s public sector channel more productive through a combination of market development activities, channel development capabilities, and processes that improve operational effectiveness.

In selecting immixGroup for this year’s award, McAfee executives recognized immixGroup as an integral distribution partner that continues to find new opportunities to enhance the experience of its public sector channel partners. They also cited immixGroup’s efforts to ensure McAfee is well-positioned to tackle the company’s most complex business opportunities. These included executing frequent sales campaigns, hosting multiple partner certification days, and launching a newsletter to keep McAfee partners apprised of new acquisitions, training events, and program updates.
