McLean, VA, Monday, August 13, 2012–The immixGroup Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization affiliated with immixGroup, Inc., announced today it is donating a high definition, flat screen TV monitor to the Dallas Child Advocacy Center (DCAC). The gift will be made at the conclusion of the Dallas Crimes Against Children Conference, August 13-16 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. immixGroup will be demonstrating its new Criminal Investigative Management Tool, a unique software solution that provides criminal investigative management support for agents pursuing the perpetrators of child exploitation, Internet fraud, and organized crime, at this conference
DCAC is a national leader on child abuse issues and a unique non-profit public/private collaboration. DCAC teams with the Dallas County District Attorney's Office, all municipal law enforcement agencies in Dallas County, Child Protective Services, and Children's Medical Center. This coordinated, multi-agency approach increases the success of the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse and also puts the child’s best interest first.
“This generous gift will be quite useful for conducting our face-to-face educational programs, including Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse, Keeping Your Children Safe from Harm, and Keeping Your Children Safe in the Real and Virtual World,” said Mr. Lynn M. Davis, President and CEO of DCAC. “We will use it to deliver high-definition video presentations and it is light enough for our team to transport to our off-site training programs and special events.”
DCAC’s unique education programs are conducted by specially trained staff and are designed to help community members, parents, professionals, and volunteers who work with children understand potential physical and behavioral signs of abuse, how to minimize risk and create protective environments, and how to recognize and report abuse if it is suspected. DCAC offers these free programs through face-to-face sessions as well as in an online learning environment.
immixGroup is dedicated to supporting those battling child exploitation online, providing a variety of IT support services to federal, state, and local investigative agencies. At this year’s Dallas Crimes Against Children Conference, the company is introducing the immixGroup Criminal Investigative Management Tool (iCrITT™), a unique software solution developed by immixGroup’s IT Solutions Division, designed specifically to help law enforcement professionals battle criminals online. iCrITT enables investigators to more effectively link thousands of pieces of criminal evidence and quickly identify tangible targets while simultaneously deconflicting specific information with other investigators and agencies utilizing the iCrITT-enabled “hash cloud.” iCrITT enhances the investigative agencies’ deconfliction, collaboration, analysis, and data management capabilities, improving efficiencies and the effectiveness of their investigations to catch more child predators and better protect our children.
“immixGroup is proud to support DCAC and the vital work they do in the battle against child abuse,” says Art Richer, President of immixGroup. “The face-to-face educational programs they offer provide parents and educators an exceptional opportunity to better understand and mitigate the challenges of protecting children in today’s Internet Age. We hope this gift makes it easier for DCAC to reach more people, and most importantly, protect more children.”
immixGroup is exhibiting in Booth #11 at the Dallas Crimes Against Children Conference, and will be offering live demonstrations of the iCrITT solution in Demo Room 2: City View 7 on Tuesday, August 14 between 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
