McLean, VA, Friday, November 14, 2014–immixGroup, Inc. has announced the speakers for its upcoming panel discussion on big data and analytics, which will be held at the inaugural
Government IT Sales Summit on November 20 at the McLean Hilton. The
Summit will provide insights for technology companies on how they can grow their public sector business in a flat market while helping their government customers achieve mission success.
The event will include an interactive panel discussion focused on the high-growth big data and analytics technology category. The session “Lots and Lots of Data – Now What?” is intended for sales, marketing, channel, and business development professionals from IT manufacturers, system integrators, solution providers, and value-added resellers (VARs) serving the government market. It will be moderated by Pam Baker, Editor, FierceBigData and co-author of the book Data Divination: Big Data Strategies. Panelists are drawn from government and industry. They include:
- Keith Trippie, Former Chair, Applications and Services Council (ASC), DHS; now CEO, The Trippie Group LLC
- Damon Davis, Director of the Health Data Initiative, CTO Office, US Department of Health and Human Services
- Robert Ames, Senior Vice President, Advanced Analytics, in-Q-Tel
With the federal government collecting exabytes of data, and more amassing daily, panelists will explore what happens once that data is collected. They will discuss the challenges agencies face in tagging, securing, analyzing, and leveraging big data through business intelligence and analytics. Attendees will learn about potential sales opportunities and discover how government agencies would like to work with industry to implement solutions and best practices.
“Our big data and analytics panelists have shaped, influenced, or written about many of the policies and business decisions that will drive the adoption of these valuable new technologies within government,” said Allan Rubin, Vice President of Marketing for immixGroup. “This panel will give
Summit attendees actionable insights they can use to help their customers achieve their objectives while also capturing new business.”
Also taking place at the Government IT Sales Summit, immixGroup’s 10th Annual Civilian and Defense Budget Briefings will identify key funded FY2015 programs in government relating to the latest technology requirements and priorities, including federal big data and analytics programs. Conducted by immixGroup’s market intelligence group, these briefings also will cover the organizational landscapes and IT priorities of top federal agencies, as well as the latest updates on policy, legislation, and budgets that will affect IT procurement.
The
Government IT Sales Summit will offer
16 seminar and panel discussions covering sales opportunities, best practices, and market trends in such technology categories as cybersecurity, big data and analytics, data center optimization, and cloud computing.
