    New Investments and Resources Bring Enhanced Capabilities to IT Vendors, Channel Partners, and Public Sector Organizations

    McLean, VA, Tuesday, November 11, 2014–immixGroup, Inc., announced today the expansion of its State and Local Government program for IT manufacturers, channel partners, and government agencies. immixGroup helps technology companies do business with the government and is making significant investments to enhance its state and local offerings for these organizations.

    Through its State and Local Government program, immixGroup provides resources and expertise to help its portfolio of software and hardware vendors and network of solution providers grow their business with state and local government agencies. It also ensures those government customers get reliable access to technology products and services through their preferred contract vehicles and business partners.

    With federal IT budgets expected to remain flat for the next several years, state and local governments represent a growth market for enterprise technology companies that sell to the public sector. According to immixGroup market intelligence analysts, state and local governments spent more than $95 billion on IT products and services in fiscal year 2014, with 43 states enacting FY2014 budgets with greater general fund spending than FY2013. Steady year-over-year growth of 4 percent is projected at the state and local level.

    To capitalize on this opportunity, immixGroup will extend to IT vendors and channel partners an expanded set of state and local business capabilities that mirror the services it provides at the federal level. These include:

    • Access to contract vehicles, including: GSA Schedule 70 (via cooperative purchasing); 14 existing state and local contracts held by immixGroup and its subsidiaries; others via teaming relationships with immixGroup’s network of more than 800 channel partners;  and the manufacturer’s own vehicles (leveraging immixGroup’s Public Sector Insight service)
    • Channel development services to assist manufacturers in identifying, recruiting, enabling, and retaining channel partners that have the relationships, contracts, and capabilities preferred by state and local decision makers
    • Market intelligence offerings such as: insights into planned state and local IT initiatives; access to qualified RFIs, RFPs, and developing opportunities; jurisdiction information such as previous expenditures and bid history; data on key organizational contacts and term contracts; and custom consulting
    • Lead generation activities to secure qualified meetings for public sector sales organizations
    • Marketing resources and campaigns including events, webinars, social media, and content to generate awareness, capture sales leads, and create demand among state and local buyers
    • Cloud brokerage and technical services to enable deployment of commercial Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, in addition to immixGroup’s own cloud-based solution for law enforcement agencies
    • A government business infrastructure ranging from contract management, maintenance/ renewal sales, and order processing to financing, billing, and collections
    • Value-added distribution/aggregation capabilities allowing solution providers to access enterprise software and hardware products from more than 250 manufacturers
    • Cloud-based management of state and local contracts and partners via immixGroup’s Public Sector Insight; this SaaS application enables sales and channel managers to gain insight into their public sector sales, pricing, customer adoption, partner performance, and partner program participation while automating the management of contracts, price lists, program compliance, and reporting

    Program investments will initially target jurisdictions with the largest IT budgets (such as the states of California, Texas, New York, and Pennsylvania) as well as others as dictated by the go-to-market strategies of participating IT vendors.
