McLean, VA, Tuesday, June 24, 2014–immixGroup, Inc., which helps technology companies do business with
the government, announced today that Bob Laclede will join its senior
executive team as Vice President, Channels.
In this role, Laclede will develop and execute public sector channel programs that drive revenue growth for immixGroup and its clients, which include commercial software and hardware vendors such as McAfee, Brocade, IBM, HP, and RedHat. He also will manage the company’s Partner Alliances team to implement channel development initiatives that expand relationships and increase sales for immixGroup’s channel partners, including more than 600 government resellers, value-added resellers (VARs), solution providers, and systems integrators.
Laclede is a recognized expert in IT distribution, sales, and business development. He brings to immixGroup more than 25 years of industry experience and has worked as an end-user, solution provider, distributor, and manufacturer in the government and healthcare markets. His knowledge of end-user segments and various channel models has enabled more than 800 vendors and nearly 2,000 solution providers to build extremely successful public sector businesses.
Laclede recently served as Director – Public Sector Sales and Marketing for Avnet Technology Solutions, a $26 billion global value-added distributor, and as VP Healthcare Programs for ChannelLine.
Laclede is best known to the channel as the former Vice President/General Manager of the Government and Education Sales Division for the $40 billion global IT distributor Ingram Micro, a program that grew to more than $2.6 billion in annual sales during his 10-year leadership. His tenure at Ingram Micro also included positions as Vice President, Business Development and Director of Field Sales. His accomplishments at Ingram Micro led to his recognition as 2007 Channel Executive of the Year by Government VAR/Computer Reseller News magazine.
Prior to Ingram Micro, Laclede held a variety of sales leadership positions with Decision Support Systems (DSS), Dot Hill Systems Corporation, and Tandem Computers. He served his country as Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Naval Supply Corps. He earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Systems from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Tulane University.
