Focus on Training, Benefits, and Charitable Giving Leads to Employee Satisfaction

McLean, VA, Tuesday, June 24, 2014–immixGroup, Inc., which helps technology companies do business with the government, announced today that it was recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace in the Washington, DC area. The company placed in the top 50 within the “Midsize Company” category, which compared and ranked businesses with 151 to 499 employees.

The Washington Post Top Workplaces list was compiled in partnership with employee survey firm Workplace Dynamics to determine the region’s best places to work. The list, which was published on June 22, evaluated 1,672 companies and surveyed 244 that met its criteria for inclusion. Nearly 34,000 local employees responded to a 22-question survey that measured how staffers viewed their jobs and the health of their organizations. Employers were grouped according to size and ranked based on the scores from their employees.

The Washington Post cited immixGroup’s investments in employee training, charitable giving, and unique benefits as factors that contributed to high ratings from workers.

Through immixUniversity, the company’s formal corporate training program, employees accelerate their learning in how to sell software and hardware products from leading technology companies to the government while developing the business management skills and accountability they need to succeed in their careers.

Another key component of the company’s strategy is an “Employer of Choice” program that is designed to recognize and reward employees’ contributions to the company’s success through enhanced employee benefits, ongoing career development initiatives, and workplace flexibility.

“immixGroup’s culture focuses on delivering results in a fun, integrity-filled, and intellectually-charged environment,” said Amy Kelly, Director of Human Resources and Training for immixGroup. “Our employee programs are directly linked to things our employees say are important to them.”

“It is an honor to be recognized as one of the DC area’s top workplaces and we are grateful for the support of the employees that voted for us,” said Art Richer, President and CEO of immixGroup. “We work hard to cultivate a culture that encourages "intrapreneurship", accountability, and responsibility while driving value for our government customers, manufacturer clients, and industry partners. This results in better performance for immixGroup and promotes professional development for our employees.”
