Cybersecurity 2017: Safeguarding Government in an Era of Emerging Threats

Cybersecurity has never been more important to the government, and the threat continues to rise. According to a recent U.S. Government Accountability Office report, increasingly sophisticated threats to information technology systems underscore the importance of preventing a major breach where the loss of confidentiality, integrity or availability can have a severe or catastrophic adverse effect on government operations, assets or individuals.

As a nation, we face a host of emerging threats in cyberspace that jeopardize the integrity of democracy, the privacy of citizens, as well as the infrastructure, economic stability and national security of our country.
